Full-Scale Sewage Sludge Reduction Technologies: A Review with a Focus on Energy Consumption

In recent years, increasing attention has been paid to the problem of sewage sludge management and relevant energy consumption, which represent main cost items in wastewater treatment plants. Therefore, implementation technologies that can reduce production ensure a positive impact on entire plant gained considerable importance scientific technical community. The objective this study was thus screen full-scale reduction integrated into both water line municipal with sustainable overall balance plant. results showed that, within line, ultrasound recirculation activated allowed for greater reductions than Cannibal UTN systems, despite higher consumption.
